Stock Market Today (March 13, 2026): Nifty 50 Tests 23,500 Support – Top Stocks in Focus

The Indian stock market is expected to remain highly volatile today, March 13, 2026, as investors closely monitor key technical levels and global market cues. The benchmark index Nifty 50 is currently trading near an important support zone around 23,500, while 23,800 continues to act as a strong resistance level. Recent selling pressure from Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and rising crude oil prices, currently hovering around $92–$100 per barrel, have added uncertainty to market sentiment. If the index fails to hold above the 23,500 mark, traders may witness increased volatility during today’s trading session.

Several stocks are also expected to remain in focus due to corporate developments and sector-specific activity. Railway financing company Indian Railway Finance Corporation may attract attention because of its dividend record date, while banking stock Indian Overseas Bank and cement player JK Lakshmi Cement could also see notable trading interest. Market experts suggest that the current trend favors a “sell on rise” strategy, and a stronger recovery may only be possible if the Nifty 50 manages to move decisively above the 24,000 level. Long-term investors, however, may consider this volatility as an opportunity to accumulate quality stocks at relatively attractive valuations.
