OPPO F33 Series Launch in India on April 15: 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera, AI Features & New Design Revealed
By Jay Mevada
OPPO India has unveiled some important information about its next F33 Series that will be launched in India on April 15, 2026. The company is also seeking to increase the bar in the mid-range smartphone segment with its keen interest in camera performance and design.

One of the biggest highlights of the new series is its front camera. F33 Pro has a 50MP ultra-wide front camera with a field of view of 100° - one of the widest selfie cameras in this category. This enables the users to take more individuals and scenery in one shot, which is particularly handy when taking group photos.
The AI Groupfie Technology of OPPO gives the camera system power, and it is meant to enhance group photos. When there are more than two people in the picture, the phone will automatically switch to a wider view of 0.6x. It also has an in-built option to correct face distortion, so that everybody appears natural even those at the ends.
The device has a 50MP main camera on the backside that has a high-resolution sensor to capture detailed and sharp images. An additional 2MP depth sensor assists in making portrait shots that have the background blurred.
Another new feature of the F33 Series is the AI Portrait Glow. This system automatically regulates lighting, depending on the surroundings, whether it is low and bright back light or lack of even light. It provides various lighting styles like Natural, Flashlight, Rim and Studio and enables the user to capture better portrait shots without any manual adjustments.
The Colourful Front Fill Light is another addition. This option has soft colored lighting, unlike the traditional white flash, to enhance selfies, particularly during low-light situations. It also improves skin colors and prevents the unnatural appearance of ordinary flash.
To the creative users, OPPO has introduced a capabilities known as Popout. It enables users to overlay many photos or motion pictures to form layered pictures in-camera and gives them a 3D-like effect, without needing to use any editing software.
The phone is also capable of Dual-View Video that captures all the front and back cameras simultaneously. This will be handy with vloggers or any other person who wishes to record all the subject matter and at the same time an individual reaction in the same video.
The F33 Pro in design brings a new camera module, the Starry Sea Lens Module. The design is sleek and contemporary and has a vertically mounted lens system and a ring flash.
The quality of the build has also been improved. The rear cover is crafted out of one piece of heavy polymer, which is stronger than the usual designs. OPPO has employed precision carving to ensure that the phone has a smooth, high-end finish, with a smooth and matte texture.
The product will come in 3 color varieties; Misty Forest, Starry Blue, and Passion Red, with each having a unique appearance and finish. The phone is lightweight and can be used in one hand despite its solid construction, which ensures that the phone is thin.
These upgrades make it evident that OPPO is targeting those users who value camera performance, design, and daily functionality in a mid-range smartphone.
